How To Craft The Perfect Espresso Shot

Always grind fresh before Espresso extraction for maximum flavour and aroma.
Adjust grind size appropriately. (Too fine grind will not allow water to pass through the Coffee. Grind too coarse, and the water will gush through too fast)
An excellent tamp is key to making a great Espresso. Use a consistent pressure of about 30 pounds of pressure to tamp.
Once the button on the Espresso Machine is pressed, a delay of 3-5 seconds is normal and then the coffee should start to pour slowly. You want the Espresso shot to flow like ‘rat tails’ in a nice dark color.
The Espresso shot in the cup should have a thick layer of reddish-brown crema on top
Arriving at the perfect Tamp, Grind, Water temperature, Pull time, Bean quality and Bean age is the secret to a great Espresso.

Tips For An Aromatic Cup

Ensure that the Whole Bean Coffee used for espresso is freshly roasted.
Store coffee in an airtight container in a cool, dark, dry place, to retain its flavour and aroma.
Do not store roasted coffee for long duration. Roasted coffee deteriorates over time
Always brew fresh for maximum flavour and aroma.
Do not reheat the Espresso as the flavour will be lost.
